Copland Track

This track is about 26km south from Fox glacier. Attention, because of the several rivers you have to cross, the track can be closed, so go to the DOC office in the where you are to get the information.
We did this track in 2 days. 18km go and 18km back. We slept in a hut at the end of the track for 15nzd per person per night (you have to book it).
The first day, we left around 10am; we don’t want to arrive too late at the hut, to enjoy the hot springs.
The way is wonderful, surrounding by mountains with some snow on their top, first part in a humid and green forest, then we walked along the river, crossed some of them which made our feet wet and finally way back in the forest with its scary bridges where you can only walk one by one and the beautiful waterfalls.
We arrived around 4pm and we lounge in the hot springs, too hot for some but with an amazing view on the mountains.
The day after we did it faster, 3h40 for our 18km…
I recommend this track but not for everyone because on the way there are a lot of mud, slippery rocks and some part to climb.
